Amanda Craig is a British children’s novelist. Her books include “In a Dark Wood” and “Love in Idleness.”  She tells Anne Strainchamps that children’s literature has a strong sense of story and that’s why it appeals to adults. We also hear Phillip Pullman reading an excerpt from “The Golden Compass,” the opening volume of the “His Dark Materials” trilogy.
