What Can Americans Learn from a Norwegian Massacre?

In 2011, white supremacist and neo-Nazi Anders Breivik killed 77 people, most of them teenagers he gunned down at an island summer camp in Norway. Today he’s in prison and completely unrepentant. Norwegian journalist Asne Seierstad spent years interviewing, researching, and getting to know him. She says while it’s tempting to dismiss Breivik as a monster, he’s also one of us.
