Brian Christian on The Turing Test

April 10, 2011

Brian Christian is the author of "The Most Human Human: What Talking with Computers Teaches Us About What It Means to Be Alive."  He tells Steve Paulson about one of the most famous philosophical experiments: the Turing Test.

There is a fun answer to this question, posed in the interview with Brian Christian: "the human being is the only animal that 'blank'."

I don't know the source. I heard it years ago. The answer is,
"The human being is the only creature God made that eats when it's not hungry, sleeps when it's not tired, and has sex 12 months of the year."
