If you’re a TTBOOK superfan, you are likely a book lover. It’s one of the hallmarks of our listeners. We here at TTBOOK relate. On trips, I pack a bag entirely for books, usually way more than I’ll be able to finish. My TBR (to be read) stacks are by my bed, in my office, on coffee tables and in a few other corners of my house.

This summer, I’m reading North Woods by Daniel Mason, and Fourteen Days, a collaborative novel by a group of writers including Margaret Atwood, Dave Eggers, and Celeste Ng. And this week my book club, which I did a TTBOOK segment on a few years ago, is meeting to talk about Tommy Orange’s newest book, “Wandering Stars.” Eleven of us from the book club traveled to Vermont this summer, too, where we hiked, swam in a clear pond, and talked about books.

I’ve been on more road trips this summer than usual, and listened to two books – Anne Patchett’s “Tom Lake,” and a (17 hour!) biography, “Dorothy Day: Dissenting Voice of the American Century” by John Loughery and Blythe Randolph. You'll hear more about Dorothy Day in an upcoming TTBOOK show I'm working on.

What are you reading this summer? Let us know at listen@ttbook.org. Maybe it’s time for a TTBOOK Book Club.
