
Eric Nuzum is NPR's Vice President for Programming. His role is to manage NPR's relationships with acquired programs and Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me! Prior to this role, Nuzum served as NPR's Director of Programming and Acquisitions. Nuzum contributed to NPR programming initiatives, including the development of new programming, program evaluation, and talent development.
During his career in public radio Nuzum has been a noted producer, fundraiser, researcher, and programmer. As a producer, he has created features for All Things Considered, Marketplace, and Transom.org.
Outside of public radio, he has written, published, and lectured extensively on popular culture, music, and free expression issues. His book, The Dead Travel Fast: Stalking Vampires from Nosferatu to Count Chocula was published by Thomas Dunne Books (St. Martin's Press) in September 2007.
