Chris Bannon is Vice President of Content Development and Production at WNYC. From 2006 through 2012, he served as Program Director for WNYC AM and FM. During that time, he also led the teams that launched WQXR and New Jersey Public Radio. In addition to leading the development of new content for WNYC’s platforms, he also oversees The Leonard Lopate Show, Soundcheck, Studio 360, Freakonomics Radio, Here’s The Thing, and collaborations with broadcast partners including NPR. His previous credits include work on a variety of national radio shows, including Here and Now, Michael Feldman’s Whad’Ya Know? and A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor.
