Pablo Menendez

Pablo Menendez moved to Cuba from San Fracisco at age 14. Though it was designed to be a year-long trip, Menendez never came back—instead deciding to stay in the Havana music scene where he eventually played a vital role as a producer, sideman and bandleader. Now he leads the band Mezcla. Mezcla brings together several veteran masters with some the best of young players on the scene today. When at home in Cuba they perform regularly at Havana's premier jazz club La Zorra y el Cuervo and at the annual Havana Jazz Festival (Jazz Plaza).
