
Weiping Wu is a professor and chair in the Department of Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning at Tufts University and a senior fellow of the Council for Emerging Market Enterprises at the Fletcher School. A urban specialist and China scholar, she has been a consultant to the World Bank, a fellow in the Public Intellectuals Program of the National Committee on United States-China Relations, and a research fellow at the Brookings Institution. Professor Wu conducts research on migration and urbanization, urban infrastructure, and China's urban development. In addition to her new book The Chinese City, she is the author and editor of five other books.
