During their visit to Addis Ababa, Anne and Steve caught a show put on by a household name in Ethiopia — Meklit Hadero. She is herself an example of boundary crossings — born in Addis Ababa, but living in the US since she was two. The night of the show, she was playing a sold-out show broadcast on TV to five million people.
