Edgar Feuchtwanger was born in Munich in 1924. He immigrated to England in 1939, studied at Cambridge University and taught history at the University of Southampton until retiring in 1989. In 2003, he received the Order of Merit from the Federal Republic of Germany for promoting Anglo-German relations.Read more
